  1. Two meetings ??

    Twice as much fun !!

    1. Username checks out.

  2. How many millions are they gonna appropriate for sanitation trucks? at 360,000 each they need at least four.

  3. What about the millions of dollars they need for repairing or replacing village buildings. Some of the workstations at these departments are incredible in this repair. It looks like it’s 1965. It’s amazing you drive past the village Fleet building and you look up at the roof, there’s a bunch of holes in it. The places are disgrace. How about re-painting the building maybe put new windows in clean up around that location, this is Ridgewood not some small little hillbilly town , take some pride and cleanup

  4. So Parks and Recreation need a part time coordinator for $60 who can book games for teams on their new system, when the teams are being trained to do this themselves. not entirely sure we understand this. They also want to earmark $50 k each year to ensure they can afford the turf at Maple field when it needs to be replaced.

  5. Attention everyone in the heights: closing the firehouse at Glen and Monroe was under consideration by this council majority.

  6. I am just going to put this out there. A good deal of people living in Ridgewood do not trust the current Mayor Paul Vagianos and the majority councilpersons, Siobahn Whinograd, Evan Weitz and Deputy Mayor Pam Perron. Their boat is rowing in the wrong direction for most of Ridgewood residents. Unless you have kids playing sports and want the over development of the CBD, which Paul would love as he owns many properties and believes in development, plus his restaurant, he really does not care what happens and is willing to be that most people are not paying attention so that he and his crony Village Manager, can slide things in without too much fuss. Likely taxes will go up again to foot the bill to move things along the way they want. There is a lot going on behind the scenes with this crew so you really cannot trust them to do what is best for this village.

  7. is it true that Parks & Rec Department is proposing construction of a $350k outdoor “event space” equipped with restrooms at Habernickel

    1. Yep, Wish list for covered pavilion in case of sudden rain storm during games with picnic tables. Says can be used other times by general public.
Restrooms building needs are for the children.

  8. folks There is no discussion or effort to close the fire house, direct from the Village Managers mouth

    1. Not any more but it was discussed. Where there is smoke there is fire. Apparently Whino asked questions and got the ball rolling on this one.

  9. Councilman Evan Weitz said he is not a fan of recording meetings (specifically HPC) because it keeps people from speaking candidly…… is this guy really a lawyer????

    1. Such a dumb comment and from someone who does nothing but complain. Not sure why he ever wanted to be on the council.

      1. Starbucks wasn’t accepting applications, I hear.

  10. Wait until Bergen county starts the north fire department campus.
