Ridgewood NJ, Updated Primary Election information: The Primary Election will be held on July 7, 2020 and will be conducted by mail-in ballot and by voting in a few polling places for those with disabilities. If you have a disability and need an accessible ballot, please contact the County at (201) 336-7020 or you may go to your assigned polling place, which will provide access to an in-person accessible voting device on Primary Election Day. If you do not have a disability and you choose not to vote on a Mail-In Ballot and show up to one of the limited number of Polling Places on Election Day, only Provisional Paper Ballots will be available to cast your vote. The ADA compliant Voting Machine is only for voters who have a disability.
If a voter is registered as a Republican or Democrat, a mail-in ballot will be sent to the voter for their particular political party. If the voter is unaffiliated, with no political party, a mail-in ballot application will be sent and the voter will have to choose a party affiliation. Once the mail-in ballot application has been received by the County, a mail-in ballot of the political party chosen by the voter, will be mailed to the voter. There will be ballot boxes placed throughout the County, and one of them will be placed near the lobby doors of Village Hall.
Final Voter registration for Primary Election must be received by the County by June 16, 2020 and should be mailed to: Superintendent of Elections, One Bergen County Plaza, Room 380, Hackensack, NJ 07601.
