Upper Saddle River Officer Timothy Erstling Honored with the Meritorious Service Award

Upper Saddle River NJ, this past Wednesday night, Patrolman Timothy Erstling was honored with the meritorious service award at the J. Fletcher Creamer Sr. Valor Awards Dinner hosted by The 200 Club of Bergen County. In February of 2022, Officer Erstling rescued a victim of a motor vehicle accident who was trapped in his burning vehicle after it crashed.

In February 2022 a minivan had slammed into a utility pole, splitting it at the base, on East Saddle River Road south of Lake Street just after midnight . Officer Tim Erstling arrived and immediately pulled the 29-year-old Pomona, NY driver out and away from the minivan. Within minutes the minivan went up in flames .
