Paramus NJ, Valley Health System has announced that The Valley Hospital in Paramus will open its doors on Sunday, April 14, 2024.

The new, state-of-the-art, acute-care hospital will feature 370 private patient rooms and will be the centerpiece of a comprehensive 40-acre healthcare campus that also includes Valley’s medical office building located at 140 East Ridgewood Avenue, and the Robert & Audrey Luckow Pavilion, which houses Valley-Mount Sinai Comprehensive Cancer Care, The George R. Jaqua Same Day Services Center, a full-service retail pharmacy, and more.

Highlights of the new hospital include:
•    Single-patient rooms to enhance privacy, safety, and comfort.
•    An expanded Emergency Department that is located next to diagnostic imaging and in proximity to surgical and interventional services to minimize travel for patients in need of emergent care.
•    A sustainable design in which more than 30 percent of the 40-acre campus will feature open green space, such as gardens, lawns, and walking paths. Best practices for energy efficiency, space utilization, water consumption, and use of natural light have also been incorporated.
•    A “smart hospital” design to optimize care delivery using state-of-the-art technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), smart beds, and Real-Time Location Systems (RTLS).

    1. Yea you say that now.
Audrey will get her revenge in the form of low income housing the likes that Ridgewood has never seen.

  3. wait…you mean VH will leave Ridgewood and be replaced by housing that (unlike VH) actually pays taxes?? The horror!

By the way, it makes little sense for VH to sell. As mentioned, they pay no taxes. Also they would never recoup the enormous infrastructure investment of a hospital by demolishing for “low income housing”.

    1. This is one of the reason’s Valley has the deal. It is not a bad thing to have Valley economically incentivized NOT to attempt to sell to an condo developer that could use the State of NJ to force us to let them build

    2. The tax point is moot now that the main campus has moved. It’s coming whether they like it or not. And your enormous II is complete nonsense…long ago carried off the balance sheet. If anything the state will give them the grants to build the low income. It’s pretty well known that the governor could give a rats ass about Ridgewood now matter how much Josh blathers on. Tighten your seat belts it’s gonna be a hell of a ride.

  4. the new master plan limits what can be done with the property, but with this council who knows

  5. I can’t wait for the day when this town will look just a Brooklyn neighborhood. I get goose bumps when I think how thrilled my wonderful, kind and woke neighbors will be, you know the same people who vote Josh, Paul, Biden, Murphy into office no matter what. They will all get the thriving town they have been longing for since they left Brooklyn, NYC, Jersey City and all the good things that come with it.
The 10 story apartment buildings at Valley campus will look amazing.
