Ridgewood NJ, Valley Health System is pleased to announce the optical shop, previously located on the second floor of 1200 East Ridgewood Avenue in Ridgewood, New Jersey, has relocated to a new retail location located on the first floor of the same building. The newly-fashioned optical shop is now located in Suite 101 West.
This move was designed to offer easy and convenient access to all services offered through the previous optical shop. The new space was also designed to include exam rooms, creating a space where patients can complete an eye exam with a Valley optometrist – a physician who focuses on eyes and vision – and speak with a Valley optician – a specialist trained to design, measure, and correct lenses and frames – regarding their glasses or contact lenses.
Optometrist, Ivan Tseng, OD, will see patients in this location to conduct eye exams and contact lens fittings. Dr. Tseng also specializes in treating prisms, or double vision.
Valley’s board-licensed opticians – Alex Perez and Marty Rozenzweig – are available to help you find the right pair of eyewear, prescription or non-prescription; inspect, fit, and adjust your glasses; and cut your lenses to fit your frame. Our opticians have more than 30 years of experience in helping individuals in northern New Jersey find the perfect pair of glasses and prescription eyewear that suits their needs and personal style.
The new optical shop also features an expanded variety of adult and children’s eyewear, along with a wider array of designer brands.
“We have expanded our glasses selection from 978 frames to 1,300 options,” said Alex Perez, optician. “We create the glasses on-site with a convenient five-working-day turnaround.”
Brands include Tom Ford, Kate Spade, Modo, Lancel, Hugo Boss, Nicole Miller, magnetic clip-ons by ECO, and Maui Jim. The expanded kids’ selection also features various sports glasses from brands like Nike, Champion, and Liberty Sport. Those who participate in sports in New Jersey are required to wear sports glasses if they require corrective lenses.
The optical shop’s hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday. The retail shop is available for walk-ins, but appointments are required for eye exams. The shop does not accept insurance, checks and credit cards are accepted.
