Ridgewood NJ, there she goes again . In a recent Facebook video Councilmember Siobhan Winograd is at it again claiming she has discovered the Big Tree and Heritage Tree program for the state of New Jersey.

The reality is that resident Kristina Millian pioneered the Big Tree and Heritage Tree program in Ridgewood. Sadly, she was never given a thank you or credit for such a wonderful gift to Ridgewood.

To the contrary…
Kristina nominated Ridgewood’s First Big Tree, the Schedler Sugar Maple (pictured), which NJDEP AWARDED with the largest Sugar Maple reported in Bergen County and the 5th largest in the state. Unfortunately, Councilmember Winograd lead the efforts that ultimately revoked the status.

  5. She just won’t stop until she makes everyone in Ridgewood think that she is responsible for everything. She has her scorecard and she just wants to check all of the boxes, even if they are lies.

    1. Here fixed that fer ya:
“She just won’t stop until she makes everyone in Ridgewood think that she is an idiot”

  6. HYPOCRITE AND DISGRACEFUL PERSON. In the same video, Siobhan Winograd boasts about the importance of trees, the oxygen they provide and how her family listens to her go on an on about tree preservation. Maybe Winograd can explain why the hundreds, maybe even thousands of trees at Schedler don’t matter.

    1. She tried to say that a lot of the Schedler trees are an invasive species or dead. That is her rationale thta justifies cutting all of those Schedler trees down. That plus she is friends with all of the sports people and they are the only ones she cares about.

  7. She also leads the plan that will ultimately decimate a 7acre tree parcel (Schedler) for a gargantuan plastic artificial turf field. Not to mention, most of those trees are larger than her two tree put together. #greenwashing

  8. She’s simply delusional.

  9. Off her meds?

  10. She has done her due diligence.

    1. I understand.

  11. OMG what a train wreck she is..

    1. She’s not worried.
We’ll vote her back into office with big numbers
      since we are
      RICH and STUPID

      1. Speak for yourself….rich and stupid!

      2. “We’ll vote her back into office with big numbers
since we are” – very true. Same as national voting habits.

  12. The trees on Ms. Winograd’s property did not put Ridgewood on the map. A Schedler neighbor put Ridgewood’s Sugar Maple tree on the map. The Shade Tree Commission then created their flyer and launched a program (oh what a good idea, even if it isn’t hers) but it was only ever because this neighbor started the application to the nominate Schedler’s prized sugar Maple as not only a big tree but also a heritage tree. However, after some kind of a mistake on the application, this nomination was taken away after much ado about nothing all because of SW, the village attorney and the village manager, all shocked and awed that they knew nothing about it. Ms. Winograd seemingly alwas has to take credit for anything and everthing so she can then go and get her trees in, start the STC program, yada, yada. Aren’t you tired, Ms. Hilly? You really need THE HELP of a professional so that you can determine the truth from a lie.

  13. The place is becoming such a money pit. It’s worse than owning a British car.

    1. on a damp morning

    2. Points, plugs, a few relays; that’s all you need for the proper British automobile.

  14. All Ridgewood has left of value are the old growth trees.

Let’s not get rid of those as well.

    1. Not many left. You drive around and see countless large healthy stumps or mercilessly maimed once beautiful trees by PSEG and VOR tree department. Without the tress this town is just another Garfield.

      1. >>Without the tress this town is just another Garfield.<<

        Now we have imitators:
"Some residents who live next to Woodman Field in Montclair woke up Monday to the clamor of chainsaws clearing a strand of very old oak trees to make way for a new baseball diamond with artificial turf."

  15. So very true and a damp morning. Forget it leave it in the garage. Wait for a nice dry summer sunny day then I’ll run right.

Ridgewood is Greenwashing. Proclomation on trees, how much she loves trees, we are a tree city USA. We should be stripped of any grant money that is applied for where trees are concerned. Shameful.

  17. I’m thinking that the pressure she is under has caused her to crack. At one point she was a fairly normal human being but now who knows what is going on in her mind but it is certainly not normal. This woman needs help and I hope her family will realize it. She definitely needs to be removed from the Council as nothing she says makes sense or can be believed.

    1. What pressure ?

      1. Pressure to put in a giant sports field for her friends and her hubby. This is a flip from her original campaign promise to deliver the original plan for a small field and children’s play area but then she did a pivot. Paul was the one who wanted them on the council (Evan and Siobahn0 and they probably all agreed to this prior to him becoming mayor, another great mistake. The 4 amigos are trouble and this bird brain is at the top of the heap and constant scheming.

  18. When is her term up ?

Please don’t tell me she is in her first year….

  19. I don’t blame the mayor and council, blame the taxpayers who voted for them. Six months ago. Quite a few of you people said we’re gonna vote them all out, whatever happened smoke screen, that’s why the village needs to hire a commissioner like years ago. All these positions that are politically appointed, top management doesn’t work does it.

  20. I double dog dare her to lie about this and more of the other lies one more time and I am going to have to speak up. I feel like in this village I have to pick my battles as a sports parent who is 100% opposed to turf, I ccan’t muster the nerve to speak up because not only will my kids get targeted, I will be ostrocized. Do I need this in my life. Heck no! But listening to them drone on about “healthy” turf and all of the other nonsense going on, it is just wrong. Then I get a petition to sign and I don’t want to put my nane to it but I know people that haven’t even lived in Ridgewood for absolute years are putting comments on that site. Again, just so wrong. This is how the train goes off the tracks by the powerful Joe who can win at intimidation. So sad.
