Only those residents who previously submitted questions regarding ongoing site remediation were made aware of the deadline for additional inquiries. The notification was made via the below noted e-mail, which was dated Tuesday, September 17, 2024. So much for transparency.

Please be advised that, at the direction of the Village, we are accepting inquiries through the end of this week and will then compile and distribute a comprehensive response that addresses the concerns of all respondents. The village is messing with a very strong network of neighbors who will fight them every step of the way to make sure the right steps are taken and the information is available and accurate. Vagianos was never going to test that soil and if it were not for a resident, kids might be playing on highly contaminated soil-more PFAS for everyone. He had his shovel in the ground and boasted all over Bergen County that he was having a ground breaking ceremony and that field built FAST. He boasted that “for every one of them (referring to Schedler neighbors) there are 3 of us”, really, okay Paul. How is that going for you? There are many issues that need to be sorted out and sorted out they will be. Vagianos and Kazmark can try to downplay the situation over there all they want, but just because they have friends in high places, there will be increasing visibilty on this project for a long time to come.

True PFAS PauLIE is awful quiet on the topic except to say it wasn’t his administration. There might be a glimmer of truth in that but he still didn’t want to test the soil before building the field. Remember he kept saying, that this had to happen and quickly. NJDEP and the entire state will eventually know what is going on and how this project is going to progress. There is an awful lot that is not working in their favor so they had better buckle up for a wild ride.

I am not sure how you can compare a hot headed ego centric sports guy ranting on someone in his crosshairs to advance a special sport project for field development against a group of concerned families, many with yourng children, who want to ensure that high levels of toxic materials in the contaminated soil are dealt with properly?

The DEP turned a deaf ear on the neighbors at Habernickle park because Nancy Bisios was saying everything was within the guidelines for her friend Stacy. BUT they are not and never have been but it’s easier for the DEP to believe the head of the parks department and not get involved then it is for them to do their due diligence and see that it is all smoke and mirrors over there and should not be there. It’s just wrong! It’s the principal of it. It is wrong
You see the last council meeting, when residents were asking the mayor and council about informing and reaching out to neighbors employees that were possible contaminated, they didn’t say anything, they kept a real quiet they were biting their lip. Because supposedly as of today, no one from the mayors office ,Council members, or the health department , The private company that’s inspecting these locations or the DEP has reached out to any of the employees. past and present.
They are trying to avoid a lawsuit, one can guess. Byt asking people you open pandora’s box. If workers and residents start stepping up, then the village has to address it and Kazmark will have to investigate. Until then, they will pretend that everything is wonderful in their shitshow shangri-la. Don’t let Vagianos fool anyone. He is running for Mayor and he is directly responsible for the situation at Schedler getting to the point it had but it worked out in favor of the community. His plans, along with Winograd, Weitz and Perron, got foiled due to greed for bigger plans for that property, that almost include nothing more than a giant field on a major NJ highway with turf. Well actually stupid, but that aside, if it were not for their idiotic greediness, there would be a field there. So perhaps thanks are in order because their stupidity and trying to grasp control and create their giants sports complex resulted in delays that will mount for a good long time. Not sure if insurance will cover the costs as engineering also screwed up the soil testing, so how do you submit a claim on negligence? I guess we will find out what Kazmark is made of too. Could be viewed as fraud but time will tell what the outcome is for everyone.

Why isn’t there 30 days notice as every other notice to residents is required?
The village engineer, the old Village manager, a.k.a. clerk needs to be immediately discharged. Why some say well exactly for not performing their duties and it’s amazing how some people can put thumbs down on the safety and well-being of employees best and present for not looking out for their safety, their health, their well-being. Everyone is always complaining about the fields not being maintained properly. What are Ms. Bigos and the young sidekick doing doing to fix them?
Also the Parks, All the parks are not being maintained properly since the former director of Parks/Recreation Tim C. retired. He stayed on top of everything and involved with all and everyone, the fields, parks, town trees, removing, trimming, stump grinding, replanting, regularly maintained everything.
This is a health issue and the board of health of the villages not doing their job. Why is that what they told hands off , This is a possibility that residence and employees may have been contaminated. How come they’re not doing their job. Or maybe we need to contact County Board of Health, and the state. This is not even funny.
How do these people sleep at night. They not performing their job and the village manager is condoning this. It’s not like he don’t know what the hell is going on. We know that this happened before his prior position. He must be looking at the people that weren’t charged before him shaking his head. What the hell will they doing? They made so many poor decisions and they should’ve been careful with a few certain employees that they messed with. They would’ve kept their mouth shut, but they screw with them, so they drop the dime it’s costing them millions. Sometimes that’s the way the cookie crumbles and don’t worry. We have a few more locations for the DEP to inspect. Remember some of us know where the skeletons are and we know put them there.
