Snow and mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches and ice accumulations up to one tenth of an inch.

Portions of southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey and southeast New York. * WHEN…From 10 PM this evening to 7 PM EST Tuesday.

Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the morning commute. Sub freezing road temperatures will allow snow to accumulate overnight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… Slow down and use caution while traveling.

No parking on the street. With significant snowfall predicted for this weekend, please be mindful that there is no parking on Village of Ridgewood roadways while roads are snow covered. All vehicles must be removed from the street. This will enable snowplowing operations to clear snow curb to curb. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.

Ridgewood Solid waste and recycling employees will be picking up garbage and recycling as long as road conditions permit.
All garbage and recycling containers must be placed at the curb (not in the street) on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. Bringing all containers to the curb will help ensure the health and safety of our Sanitation Team.
Rear yard garbage collection will resume on schedule as weather permits, but please continue to place your garbage cans at the end of your driveway until you have a clear path to them. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our Village employees safe.
Our Recycling Center will have a delayed opening on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, to allow the staff to clear the snow, and salt. We will open from 10am-3pm.

  1. Why, the last time we had was 6 inches of snow, and the police did nothing. This new manager will not supersede the chief of police. They never did they never will.

  2. They should hook up a plow to that brand new pick up the police department have. And let them take care of their own yard. Just like emergency services take care of their yard. They have plows.

  3. this is why I have 4 massive bear proof garbage cans. I can go a month without having to schlep them to the curb.

  4. Wondering why no robo-call this time when we had one last time (no overnight street parking, take garbage cans to curb, etc.).
