Volunteers Needed for 122nd U.S. Amateur Championship PRACTICE ROUNDS August 13th & 14th

Dear Golf Enthusiasts:

Paramus NJ, as previously announced, the 122nd U.S. Amateur Golf Championship is coming to Ridgewood Country Club and Arcola Country Club this month and volunteers are needed for the practice rounds on Saturday and Sunday, August 13-14 to work as course marshals and forecaddies. This event will be an outstanding opportunity for spectators to see the world’s best amateur golfers in action, and this will be particularly true for course volunteers. No spectators will be allowed for the practice rounds – volunteers are the only ones who will have access.

Past U.S. Amateur champions that have gone on to win major championships on the pro tour include Bobby Jones, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Jerry Pate (winner of the U.S. Amateur at Ridgewood Country Club in 1974), Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods, Bryson DeChambeau and Matthew Fitzpatrick, winner of this year’s US Open.

You will see that volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and that there is a $100 charge for the uniform two golf shirts and a hat and there is no charge for volunteers between the ages of 16-21.
