Midland Park NJ, watch out seniors , the Ridgewood blog has learned that the CVS in Midland Park on Godwin Avenue has been filling drug prescriptions all in Spanish. Great if you speak Spanish but leaving English only speakers with no way to verify if the prescription is correct putting some seniors in serious jeopardy .

The report came in on Thrursday and raised a lot of eyebrows given the epidemic of prescription drug abuse gripping Bergen County .Midland Park which according to the 2010 census was 92.82% white and only 6.65% Latino made the even more particularly concerning .

Of all places why a Midland Park pharmacy would be issuing prescriptions in the wrong language stuck us as extremely odd ,given this seniors long history of filling prescriptions and never representing themselves as Latino.

Legally anyone and everyone who is involved with prescribing medications can be liable for prescription drug errors. This includes physicians, nurses, hospitals, the pharmacy departments in the hospitals, pharmacists, and the pharmaceutical manufacturer.

If a pharmacist mislabels the medication, this could lead medical malpractice case but worse yet cause severe body harm to the person taking a mislabeled drug ,such as an allergic reaction. The effect of a prescription drug error can range from minimal to fatal, depending on the nature of the error .

  1. CVS is notorious for dispensing the cheapest possible generic drugs to make a buck. They were giving me stuff made in India with awful side effects. I switched to a drugstore that was several miles farther away. But they may be abandoning the US-made ones also….

  2. Get used to this if you keep voting Democrat

  3. Latino’s can be white.

  4. Midlandpark has changed dramatic play. It’s not no more little hillbilly town. It’s becoming one little busy town. Way too many people traveling through that little town.
