Ridgewood NJ, Flag Day is today, and while many may remember staking miniature American flags into our yards as kids, as the years pass by, our interest in celebrating the holiday has significantly diminished – so we must ask ourselves, “What Happened to Flag Day?”
Flag Day is celebrated on June 14. It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States on June 14, 1777, by resolution of the Second Continental Congress.
According to a recent survey by leading digital homework help platform, Brainly:
>> 53.2% of middle and high school students do not currently discuss Flag Day in their schools, while over 35% were interested in learning more about the holiday
>> Over 30% of respondents were unable to identify that there are 50 stars on the current American Flag (representing the 50 states)
>> Only 45% of students identified the original American Flag design contained 13 stars to represent the 13 colonies
>> A staggering 16% of all respondents correctly marked that the red, white, and blue colors signified Valor, Purity, and Justice while over 59% (incorrectly) claimed it represented Freedom, Equality, and Justice for All
My flag is out, and not the identity politics one
The Stars and Stripes is seen as offensive in blue states. They prefer the Gay flag.
They do discuss flags……rainbow flags.
Fly ‘em high! And vote Republican 2022 and 2024. Don’t let progressive Democrat liars and economic flunkies destroy your faith in our country. Those morons will soon be packing but if you even think of voting Democrat remember the $5.50 a gallon for gas, the raise in mortgage rates from 3 percent to 6 percent (yes 6 percent mortgages announced today) all due to Democrat “leadership” and their liar in chief Biden as well as their nut jobs in Congress Chuckie Schumer and Nancy Pelosi.
The stars and stripes don’t run. The other muscle behind this country, too many sissies running this country. Dying to get them out real soon because they’re ruining this country.
Don’t be intimidated by this very noisy minority. They are in the process of destroying the principals of this country. Unfortunately, they control most of the media and the minds of your children in colleges. We are already in a very dangerous place at this time. If you have to pretend to agree in order to remain friends with your colleagues and neighbors, so be it. BUT, despite the cheating mechanisms, get out and vote.
You are not the victim here. No one is preventing you from flying whatever flag you want. You don’t need the democrats’ approval.
Stop the blind nationalism.
What about the fellow Americans who don’t feel represented in their country and that America is not living up to its potential?
Marginalized groups exist nearly everywhere. They are people who, for whatever reason, are denied involvement in mainstream economic, political, cultural and social activities.
What are we doing to build a more inclusive town?
the closest your going to be to “Marginalized ” living in Ridgewood is if you wear white after Labor Day lol… please stop
…and those who want to speak up for our fellow Americans who ARE marginalized? You know, like patriots should?
Should we shut up, or actually do what the flag you’re complaining about actually STANDS for? Freedom and justice for ALL?
“marginalized?
in Ridgewood ….LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL……….. a legend in your own mind
