Ridgewood NJ, during Wednesday night’s meeting, the public comments once again turned to a discussion on Zabriskie Schedler Property . Ridgewood resident Siobhan Winograd  expressed her frustration over the rate of progress at the Schedler property .

In an all too familiar refrain Winograd claimed a lack of an official, approved plan and the lack of transparency from the council about the status of the plan.  These agenda driven talking points seem worn and well rehearsed ,being expressed by several members of the Ridgewood community at virtually every Council meeting . From Winograd  they seem especially silly given the fact that her husband Michael Winograd sat on the 2017, ad-hoc committee that was put together to create a plan for Zabriskie Schedler Property. On que Council Member Paul Vagianos jumped on the Winograd bandwagon sounding like a table read for a TV script.  It was nice to hear  the councilmen speak on something other than his own self promotion. Even TAP into Ridgewood the Vagianos mouth piece piled on the following day.

The confusion comes in because the plan was changed improperly by rogue village staff and the village council addressed this issue by re-submitting the plan ,to everyone’s astonishment no rogue employee was ever fired.

What was not discussed is the buzz floating around town suggesting the construction of the “Berm ”  was masquerading the agenda driven destructive impact the project was having on the treescape on the property and the indiscriminate killing of trees.

  4. Thanks James. You made some really good points. I think Paul’s thoughts to put the whole proposed plan, delays, etc. out there on the website would help. Susan always talks about how transparent they are. I think she ” doth protest too much.”

  5. Oh boy, the shits gonna come out the soil berm, pickle ball, Employees doing sneaky dirty business.

  6. Paul said he was an environmental lawyer. This should be right up his alley, as well as the toxic Ridgewood Water issue.

  7. Boy oh boy ‘ there must be a lot of dirt under the carpet.

  8. I am all for preserving things worth preserving, but that house is and always was not worth preservation. I would have preferred anything but the current plan.

  9. A new money pit, and and much more to finalize all these projects at that site. It all comes down to if they didn’t go this route. They would be condos at that site.

  10. No way Paulie beat Hooban by 1000 votes. Something is rotten in Denmark.
