The Valley Health System of Ridgewood has expanded its Paramus footprint with a 10-year lease for 73,978 square feet at the Mack-Cali Centre III in Paramus.

The Mack-Cali property has two towers joined by a seven-story atrium with an on-site café with outdoor seating.

Valley spokeswoman Megan Fraser told NJBIZ “The site is close to the hospital’s Paramus campus, which includes a cancer center and same day surgery center.”

She said it’s also near a 15-acre property that Valley acquired last year.

“As more and more physicians choose to become a part of the system’s Valley Medical Group, we need to offer easy-to-access, beautiful office space for our doctor and their patients,” Frazer said. “In addition, to continue to positively impact the health of the population we serve, we envision developing new clinical and preventive medicine and wellness programs at that site in years to come.”

  1. Guess Audrey doesn’t like being the highest paid non-profit hospital exec in NJ who only runs a single hospital, now she needs a “hospital system”? Hey Audrey, you’re building a “hospital system” now? Good for you. But let’s be clear: Your employees and patients arrive on the roads the rest of us paid for; you hire workers the rest of us paid to educate; your “system” benefits from the public safety services including the police and fire forces that the rest of us pay for. So it’s great you’re building a “system”. But how about helping to pay for all of the services and roads that your non-profit “system” wouldn’t exist without? It’s called a payment in lieu of taxes (PILOT). It’s called not suing your host community – the Village of Ridgewood – that built Valley in the first place (you know, the institution that pays you $2.0mn a year). It’s called not trying to push empire-building plans on a Planning Board that clearly doesn’t want what you’re selling. It’s called not influencing former Mayor Pfund to change Village Code (aka Ordinance 3066) to allow for applications to amend the Village’s Master Plan.
