Betty Wiest has a shoe problem.
The Ridgewood A.M. Rotary Club member’s Walnut Street home was filled with them last weekend. Hundreds of shoes were piled in bags and boxes on her porch, front lawn, in her garage and van.
The shoes ranged in variety, from fur-lined snow boots and shiny black heels to small yellow rainboots, Spiderman sneakers, flowery sandals, purple flats and leopard slippers. They came from the homes of Ridgewood residents and, through the nonprofit charity Soles 4 Souls, would soon be on their way to people in need.
