Fact is we pay many higher ups significantly more here than same jobs pay in nearby comparable towns as to population, etc.

It does NOT include overtime, perks, pensions and benefits. 

If you look at many jobs, you’ll see that here those folks get significantly more than in other towns. You can go to other town websites and get names of the officials there. You can get names of those here from Vill website. 

It’s hard to understand how those jobs are so much more difficult here then in other nearby towns of similar population and/or size that they justify paying signif. more money.
