Twp.of Washington NJ, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced the arrest of CESAR FALLAS-URENA (DOB: 04/19/1985; married; and employed as a paramedic) of 306 Walnut Street, Washington Township, New Jersey on charges of Aggravated Sexual Assault, Sexual Assault By Sexual Contact, Manufacturing Child Pornography, and Endangering The Welfare Of A Child. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti and the Washington Township Police Department under the direction of Chief Glenn Hooper.
On Tuesday, April 23, 2019, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office received a report from the Division of Child Protection and Permanency that Cesar FALLAS-URENA sexually assaulted a child under the age of thirteen on more than one occasion. As THE result of the investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Washington Township Police Department, Cesar FALLAS-URENA was arrested on April 26, 2019 in Paramus and charged with two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C: 14-2A(1), 1st degree crimes; one count of Sexual Assault By Sexual Contact, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2B, a 2nd degree crime; one count of Manufacturing Child Pornography, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C: 24-4B(4), a 2nd degree crime; and one count of Endangering The Welfare Of A Child, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4A(1), a 2nd degree crime.
At his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack on April 27, 2019, Cesar FALLAS-URENA was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a detention hearing.
Acting Prosecutor Calo states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and would also like to thank the Washington Township Police Department for its assistance in this investigation.
