WILLARD LEADERSHIP
Representatives of the Willard School Leadership Committee explained the Choose to be Nice initiative at their school and efforts to spread kindness. The committee is made up of 20 Willard students, advised by Principal Caroline Hoffman and teachers Jerome Ong and Rebecca Dodd.

Perhaps schools should focus on learning skills like reading so the kids will develope critical thinking skills

I have no issue with the kids who did the slides wanting to make things better. A couple of their parents are bat$hit crazy tho……niceness starts at home.
My criticism is not at the childern just the crappy parents and very low bar the schools and Village are setting

I totally agree Anon, May 7. You just need to look at their faces and realize the scary truth. School principal doesn’t seem like the smartest tool either. At Willard they have a non gender bathroom by the kindergarten and 1st grade rooms. Now how fked up is that?
Until I began to look even older than I am, I partially agreed with the apparent ignoring of basic values by the parents and thus their children. I personally observed many of these horrendous actions. Now, except for one instance, I am always offered aid of many different kinds by children and teenagers as well as their parents. Manners must be a partially ingrained in us by virtue of being human. And, if you notice many animals are considerate of others as well. Such as a blind deer being carefully escorted by her fellow deer and being led to be first on any found food.
Maybe if there were nice people on council and in the village offices people would be happier and then nicer.
Everything in this town is a fight and a survival mode. Council meetings are a joke. If you speak at them you are heard, but are you really heard?
People used to be happy but now we are all just trying to survive the destruction awaiting this sweet little town
