Newark NJ, A New Jersey native who agreed to cooperate with the US government following a terrorism conviction was sentenced on charges she continued to support ISIS. Sinmyah Amera Caesar, 24, received four years in prison and eight years on probation on June 25 after pleading guilty in March to recruiting for the terrorist organization and obstruction of justice. The Brooklyn, New York, resident born in New Jersey signed a cooperation agreement with the federal government in 2017 following a guilty plea to the charge of providing material support to ISIS.
FBI agents arrested her in November 2016 at John F. Kennedy International Airport as she tried to leave the United States. Caesar was released on bail on the conditions she cease communications with members of ISIS and provide information on her interactions with supporters of the group. However, court documents stated she continued to contact or attempt to contact known supporters. Investigators found that she deleted social media posts and text messages while also creating multiple accounts under different names to avoid detection by authorities. She referenced Pulse nightclub shooter Omar Mateen, told at least two people that she was cooperating with the FBI, and informed an individual associated with UK-based ISIS supporters that she went to prison “because some [of] the Muslims were spies” in some of the messages, according to court documents. Caesar was originally convicted for spreading propaganda and vouching for some of the individuals who showed an interest to other ISIS supporters.
Only four years??
They should have let her leave. Now the Democratic party will let her vote and we’ll have to support her incarceration.
She should had gotten more years in prison
did they track her through her free Obama Phone?
I thought treason was punishable by death?
