Former N.J. Gov. McGreevey hails Obama’s support of gay marriage, calling it ‘a moral turning point’
Former Gov. Jim McGreevey whose secret affair with a male aide led to the downfall of his administration, said President Obama’s position marked a turning point in American history.
“The President’s decision today represents a moral turning point that civil liberties and the basic dignity of all persons ought to be respected,” McGreevey told The Star-Ledger just moments after Obama publicly re-staked his position in support of gay marriage. (Giambusso, The Star-Ledger)

Now I feel beter. What next, Clinton commenting on molesting interns?
What does McGreevey’s former Press Secretarry (aka 2 term Ridgewood Village Councilman) have to say about it ?
Nobody cared that McGreevey was gay. He was a shitty Governor, did a lousy job, raised taxes, and caused a financial mess. His sexuality had nothing to do with it and he used it to try and deflect critics.
I’m happy for the marriage equality movement that the POTUS has finally recognized their equal rights. However, I’m still not so happy with Obama himself.
Call me a skeptic, but his change of heart seems to coincide an awful lot with changing poll numbers. And changing his mind in election year?
I haven’t decided who to vote for yet, but just remember what Obama promised in his campaign and what we got.
Well whenPaul takes over as mayor his Press Secretary will be sure to post a picture of him performing the civil union
As a gay man , I don’t appreciate being compared to sexual molesters
#3 is right – McGreevey plays the gay canard constantly. When it came to being a governor, Jim was simply out of his league, much like president Obama. Paul is just a political hack and embarrassment who bilks his hometown for health insurance perqs while pretending to stick up for the little guy. Still, those who voted have spoken.
