Ridgewood NJ, An early Monday afternoon, 09/15, three (3) vehicle chain reaction crash at the intersection of Linwood Avenue and North Maple Avenue, Ridgewood sent two (2) individuals to the hospital by ambulance, with a third victim refusing medical attention beyond an on-scene evaluation. Ridgewood Police Department, Ridgewood Fire Department, and Ridgewood EMS responded to aid the victims, as did a paramedic team from The Valley Hospital. Two (2) tow trucks were required to remove wreckage from the scene. The crash may have been related to a medical episode experienced by one (1) of the drivers involved.
This is a dangerous intersection . there is also some school parking and pedestrians crossing at the elbow bend of the Linwood raceway to and from route 17 / Valley hospital and northbound towards Maple avenue cross traffic .add in pool are PED CROSSING ..VERY DANGEROUS in winter ,darkness dusk or dawn ..speedway
