How to contribute to flagpole renovation
The project to renovate the flagpole at the corner of North Maple and Linwood avenues in Veterans Field.
Readers asked how they can make a donation ,make donations to the Ridgewood Rotary Foundation, P.O. Box 1152, Ridgewood, NJ 07450-1152 clearly marked “flagpole project.”
According to Chris Stout of American Legion Post 53 that, although the American Legion and VFW are key supporters of the project, the project is being driven by elements of Rotary International, led by the Rotary Club of Ridgewood A.M.
it’s about time they repair this.it looks like it has not been painted in 20,years.this is what happens when you lay off workers and you don’t replace workers who left. all the things that need to be done in town and no workers to do the work. this town needs to hire workers.some dept’s are down to the lowest level in help that we ever seen.this is not a good thing.did any one’s taxes go down from the last lay off in 2010. not mine. the new mayor and council need to wake up and start talking to the workers in town and see what the hell is going on.because we can not trust the manager that is in power as of now,hummmmmmm.
no wonder people voted for all new mayor and council. they see that some of the old council did zipo for the d p w workers. but and i do mean but the police and fire dept’s got a nice ride,right guy’s. what’s this screw the rest of the town workers.
