Electrician Busted for Sexting 14 Year Old

Paramus NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of OMAR OROZCO (DOB: 6/05/1969; single; electrician) of 115 Riverview Avenue, North Arlington, New Jersey on child pornography-related charges. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.

On Thursday, June 17, 2021, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of OMAR OROZCO during the course of a months-long investigation. The investigation revealed that OROZCO communicated with a 14-year-old juvenile on several social media platforms, and those conversations included sexually explicit dialogue. During these online conversations, OROZCO obtained nude images from a juvenile and also sent nude images to that child.

As a result of the investigation, OMAR OROZCO was arrested on Thursday, June 17, 2021 in Paramus, New Jersey and charged with one count of first-degree Production of child pornography, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4(b)4; one count of third-degree Endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4(a)1; and one count of third-degree Providing obscenity to a minor, N.J.S.A. 2C:34-3(b)1. OROZCO was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.

This investigation, led by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit, is continuing. Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Prosecutor Musella thanks the North Arlington Police Department and San Antonio (TX) Police Department for their assistance, as well as the Lyndhurst Police Department, and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department, which participate in the Bergen County Cyber Crimes Task Force.
