Ridgewood NJ, once again flash flooding is being reported across the county . In the Village of Ridgewood just weeks after tropical storm IDA caused heavy damage along Ho-Ho-Kus brook and Saddle River the Ridgewood High School Turf Field is once again flooded .
Stevens Field partially flooded as well.
Another $100k down the drain (literally).
Why is this not getting addressed by BOE?
No big deal, plenty of money in town.
Just tack it onto next year’s budget.
No mud or silt this time….
I couldn’t be less surprised.
Away at Hackensack this weekend, no?
Like we said Bergen county needs to dredge the brook and a few locations to help the situation. If not used to this. The mayor and council need to get involved.
Dredge the creek or raise the field. This will not stop…
Send the cleanup bills to captain Jack and fast Eddie! Cheers to a decade of flood cleanups for maintenance free fields.
Im gonna drop my kayak in upstream tomorrow and pull up right before the foot bridge.
Maybe that can charge people to whitewater down the Brook when this happens.
Can’t wait.
So stupid though
Call Bergen county it’s their responsibility. That’s what I did I have the brook behind my house, and I called Bergen county .stop Calling village hall.
Yes I always call Bergen County for the brook.
The rest of you should too.
Quick question….if the field was regular good old fashion grass, how much would the cleanup costs be?
The turf field was a scam!
#go back to grass
This falls into the category of “permanent news”.
In other news, bears relieve themselves in the woods.
Another nor’easter on Friday.
