Ridgewood NJ, according to GoDaddy the internet hosting and domain name company on or about September 6, 2021, an unauthorized third party gained access to certain authentication information for administrative services, specifically, the customer number and email address creating a major security incident impacting the GoDaddy Managed WordPress hosting service.

What this means is the unauthorized party could have obtained the ability to access your Managed WordPress service and make changes to it, including to alter your website and the content stored on it.

GoDaddy, one of the biggest hosting companies globally, took 36 days to notice they had been hacked. Thirty-six days might seem like a lot, but an IBM report has shown that, on average, companies take close to 200 days to notice a breach. This makes 36 days seem quite reasonable, but still, a lot can happen in 36 days.

If you suspect that any of your accounts have been exposed, make sure you change all of your passwords straight away.
