Within the last 5 years you stormed the North Jersey market, what’s next?
We are very proud to announce the expansion of our business to Manhattan. We just opened an office in the real estate capital of the world, at One Rockefeller Plaza in New York City. Even prior to opening an office, we received a lot of interest from several top New York agents to join our new flagship office. With further expansion in New Jersey, Westchester, New York, and Connecticut, this will allow us to provide the unique Christie’s experience throughout the tri-state area. It will also allow us the opportunity to become the biggest New York Metro real estate company, with a presence equally as strong in the suburbs as it is in the city.
Does this expansion require some organizational changes?
Yes, we already reorganized ourselves and will operate as two connected entities: Christie’s International Real Estate New York and Christie’s International Real Estate New Jersey. We are continuously strengthening our management team with new talents, introducing the best technology in the industry to our agents, and hiring new marketing and other team members to reinforce our already winning agent support service.
Where is your current presence and which new offices will you open this year?
Currently we are in Northern and Central New Jersey, Hudson County and the New Jersey Shore, Westchester, Rockland and Orange Counties in New York with 20 offices and about 900 agents. This year we are planning to open offices in Edgewater, Jersey City, Madison, Spring Lake, White Plains, Greenwich, Connecticut and a second Manhattan location.
What opportunities does this expansion offer your agents?
We have already established an environment that provides our agents the highest growth opportunity in the industry. Adding new territories will expand the market reach to our agents, and the new technology and additional corporate support will enable them to continue to deliver the unique Christie’s experience to their clients.
