Fair Lawn NJ, in what authorities are calling a miraculous outcome, the driver of a black Lexus SUV survived a high-impact collision with a Hoboken-bound NJ Transit train on Wednesday afternoon at the Fair Lawn Avenue railroad crossing.
Driver Self-Extricates from Crushed SUV
According to emergency responders, the vehicle was struck by the commuter train shortly after 4:00 PM. Despite the severe damage to the SUV, the driver managed to exit the vehicle on his own before emergency services arrived. He was found conscious, alert, and walking, demonstrating no immediately visible serious injuries.
The driver was transported by Bergen County EMS to a nearby hospital for a full medical evaluation.
