Fair Lawn NJ, what started as a suspicious man wandering through driveways quickly turned into a major drug and cash bust for Fair Lawn police last week.
On Monday, May 20, authorities responded to a call about a man roaming up and down driveways on Ward Street around 11 p.m. What they discovered next took the investigation to a whole new level.
Knife in Pocket, Erratic Behavior Sparks Police Response
When officers arrived, they encountered Timothy S. Brown, 62, of Ward Street. According to police, Brown had a large knife sticking out of his pocket, was screaming incoherently, and began banging on the front door of a nearby home.
He was quickly detained for safety — and that’s when things got even stranger.
Door Ajar Leads to Unexpected Discovery
While checking the scene, officers noticed that the front door of a neighboring home was ajar. To ensure there were no individuals in danger, they entered the home — and were met with what appeared to be a mini drug lab.
According to police, they spotted clear signs of drug manufacturing and distribution.
