Hudson County, NJ – A massive six-month drug investigation led by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office has resulted in seven arrests, including a West New York police dispatcher, a retired detective, and a Hudson County Correctional police officer.

The multi-location operation, executed last Thursday, uncovered a significant narcotics ring operating across the state. Authorities seized over four kilos of cocaine, two handguns, seven vehicles, and more than $70,000 in cash. The street value of the recovered drugs is estimated to exceed $150,000.

Who Was Arrested in the Hudson County Drug Bust?

Among those charged is Ileana Hernandez, a civilian dispatcher with the West New York Police Department. Following her arrest, she has been suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.

West New York Police Director Henry Codina released a statement addressing the arrest:

“We do not and will not condone this type of behavior from any member of our department, sworn or civilian. Such conduct is in direct conflict with the values, integrity, and professionalism expected of those entrusted with public service. We remain committed to maintaining the community’s trust and ensuring accountability at every level within the department.”

The West New York Police Department has pledged full cooperation with the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office as the investigation continues.
