Ridgewood , NJ – The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued an Extreme Heat Warning for Friday, July 25, 2025, impacting Bergen, Essex, Passaic, Hudson, and Union Counties.

The warning is in effect from 11 AM to 8 PM EDT, with dangerously high heat index values reaching up to 107°F expected.

In addition, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has declared an Air Quality Action Day from 11 AM to 11 PM, meaning ground-level ozone levels may approach or exceed unhealthy standards.
