Washington, DC – President Donald Trump has declared a public safety emergency in the nation’s capital, ordering an unprecedented federal takeover of the Metropolitan Police Department and activating 800 DC National Guard members. The move, made under the 1973 Home Rule Act, allows the federal government to control DC’s police force for up to 30 days.
In addition to the National Guard deployment, more than 100 FBI agents will be reassigned to nighttime street patrols. The president cited growing concerns over violent crime, despite federal statistics showing crime in DC at a 30-year low.

Attorney General Pam Bondi has been appointed to oversee the federal control of DC’s police operations, while DEA Administrator Terry Cole will serve as interim federal commissioner.
The administration says the effort will serve as a “model” for crime reduction strategies in other major U.S. cities facing similar public safety challenges.
A Rare Federal Intervention
Under the Home Rule Act, the president can assume control of DC’s local government functions in certain emergency situations. Such direct intervention in the city’s policing is rare, marking one of the few times in recent history that local law enforcement has been placed under federal command.

Now please set your sights on Los Angeles, NYC, Chicago, Baltimore … every city being run into the ground by incompetent democrats! They think they’re running their own countries — well, fine! But failed and failing states are a threat to national security. We rightly replace the leadership of those countries and it should be no different here! In fact this situation is really worse. We’re rotting from within. And Trump can and will do something about this. Let them cry. This is the America first we voted for.
