Paramus NJ, shoppers with Costco Executive Memberships are about to get a major perk. Beginning after the Labor Day weekend, all Costco warehouses nationwide will officially roll out extended shopping hours exclusively for executive members.
New Shopping Hours for Executive Members
In a June 11 email to members, Costco announced that Executive Members can enter stores at 9 a.m., one hour earlier than regular members, Monday through Friday.
The company also confirmed that all warehouses will now stay open an extra hour on Saturdays, closing at 7 p.m. instead of 6 p.m. This change went into effect on July 5, 2025.
Here’s a breakdown of the updated hours:
-
Monday–Friday: 9–10 a.m. (Executive Members only)
-
Saturday: 9–9:30 a.m. (Executive Members only), stores close at 7 p.m. for all
-
Sunday: 9–10 a.m. (Executive Members only)
Grace Period Ends August 31
According to reporting from TheStreet, Costco stores were given a grace period to implement these changes, which ended August 31, 2025. USA TODAY reached out to Costco for confirmation but did not receive an immediate response.
Is Costco Open on Labor Day?
If you’re planning a shopping trip on the holiday — think again. Costco will be closed on Labor Day, Monday, September 1, 2025.
What This Means for Members
For Executive Members, these extended hours provide quieter shopping times and more flexibility to beat the crowds. For regular members, the extra Saturday evening hour offers more time to stock up before the week begins.
