Paramus NJ, A Friday night high school football game in Paramus ended with an unexpected scene: a significant police and ambulance presence. Authorities confirmed that a fight between two juveniles after the game between Paramus Catholic and St. Joseph’s brought first responders to the school.
According to Police Chief Robert Guidetti, the altercation was quickly broken up by other juveniles. Both individuals involved sustained minor injuries, and as of the initial report, no one was looking to press charges.
Photos from the scene, captured by UNF News, showed multiple police cars and two ambulances outside Paramus Catholic High School. One of the juveniles appeared to have been evaluated by emergency medical personnel on site.
The game itself concluded with St. Joseph’s defeating Paramus Catholic with a final score of 20-7. While the on-field action ended with a clear winner, the post-game fight served as a reminder of the heightened emotions that can come with rival high school sports.
