Fair Lawn NJ, commuters traveling through Fair Lawn on Tuesday morning, November 11th, experienced significant delays after a dramatic rollover crash involving a multi-axle dump truck. Thankfully, the Fair Lawn Police Department confirmed that no injuries were reported in connection with the early morning incident on River Road.
The crash, which shut down a portion of the road for nearly two hours, required a massive response from local first responders.

How the Rollover Happened
The incident occurred as the empty dump truck was exiting the Tanis Concrete property. According to police reports, the cause of the rollover was simple but devastating:
The truck’s raised dump bed hit an overhead communications cable, which pulled the massive multi-axle vehicle over, resulting in the rollover.
The unusual nature of the crash necessitated an extended closure of River Road while responders managed the scene and the downed cables.
The Cleanup and Response
The Fair Lawn Police Department, along with Fair Lawn Fire Department Company #2, and the Fair Lawn Rescue Squad, rapidly responded to secure the area.
A heavy-duty tow truck was called to the scene to execute the complex operation of righting the massive vehicle before it could be safely towed away. The extensive work by first responders and the towing company employees ensured the area was cleared and reopened as quickly as possible, minimizing the disruption to morning traffic.
