RIDGEWOOD, NJ — The final curtain has fallen on a historic weekend in the Village, and the results are nothing short of spectacular. The 80th Anniversary production of RHS Jamboree, titled “Lights, Camera, Jamboree!”, has officially raised a staggering $282,500 for need-based college scholarships.

This incredible total will go directly to support Ridgewood High School’s Graduating Class of 2026, ensuring that financial barriers don’t stand in the way of their higher education dreams.

80 Years of Tradition: A Legacy Since 1947

Founded in the aftermath of WWII, Jamboree has grown from a small community variety show into a powerhouse of philanthropy.

  • The Mission: Since its inception in 1947, the goal has remained unchanged: raising funds for RHS seniors based on financial need.

  • The Milestone: This year’s 80th show marks eight decades of Ridgewood parents and guardians stepping out of their comfort zones and onto the stage.

  • The Achievement: In just the last few years, the fundraising totals have reached new heights, proving that the spirit of giving in Ridgewood is stronger than ever.

Behind the Scenes: “Pure Joy” for the Cast and Crew

The success of “Lights, Camera, Jamboree!” wasn’t just measured in dollars, but in the community bonds formed during months of rehearsals. The production featured 145 cast members, an alumni group of 55, and a dedicated backstage crew—all of whom are volunteers.

“It’s pure joy for this incredible group of people from our community to come together to rehearse, perform, and bond in this amazing achievement,” a Jamboree spokesperson shared. “It is truly a rewarding experience from start to finish. We are proud of what we do and we have so much fun doing it!”

A Milestone for the Class of 2026

For the seniors of Ridgewood High School, this $282,500 represents more than just a check—it represents the Village’s investment in their future. The funds are managed by the Jamboree Scholarship Fund, Inc., a 501(c)(3) charity, and are awarded to deserving students through a rigorous application process.

Congratulations to the entire cast, crew, sponsors, and donors of “Lights, Camera, Jamboree!” Your hard work under the spotlights will change lives far beyond the stage.
