Quick Action Prevents Disaster on Columbia St
At approximately 5:30 AM on March 5, 2026, the Wood-Ridge Fire Department was dispatched to 78 Columbia St following reports of a house fire. Upon arrival, crews encountered active flames on the first floor of the residence.
Engine 901 led the attack, successfully extinguishing the fire before it could spread to upper floors or neighboring homes. Meanwhile, the crew from Truck 904 conducted a primary search of the building. Fortunately, the searches were negative, confirming that no occupants were trapped inside.
