Ridgewood NJ, In a powerful display of remembrance and resilience, Ridgewood Police Officer Adam Collura has officially set off on the Police Unity Tour, a grueling multi-day bicycle journey dedicated to honoring law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Joining thousands of fellow officers from across the nation, Officer Collura is pedaling toward the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C. His mission? To ensure that those who died in the line of duty are never forgotten.


A Personal Mission: Honoring Mary Ann Collura

While the tour represents a collective tribute, for Officer Collura, the ride is deeply personal. He is riding in honor of his aunt, Fair Lawn Police Officer Mary Ann Collura, who was tragically killed in the line of duty in 2003 while serving her community.

Officer Mary Ann Collura was a trailblazer in Bergen County law enforcement, and her legacy continues to inspire new generations of officers. By participating in this journey, Adam Collura keeps her spirit alive, transforming a family tragedy into a powerful act of community service and remembrance.

What is the Police Unity Tour?

The Police Unity Tour was founded in 1997 with a simple motto: “We Ride For Those Who Died.” What started with 18 riders has grown into a massive national event that raises millions of dollars for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.
