
Emergency Responders Swarm Hawthorne Neighborhood Following Sunday Stabbing Incident

Hawthorne NJ, An emergency medical response mobilized on Sunday afternoon, August 23, following a stabbing in a Hawthorne residential neighborhood. First responders rushed to a multi-family dwelling on the 200 block of Westervelt Avenue after reports of a violent encounter.

Rapid Response and Hospital Transport
Hawthorne EMS and a paramedic team from The Valley Hospital arrived at the scene, where they located an individual suffering from multiple stab wounds. First responders reported that the victim remained conscious and alert while receiving initial care on site.
Hawthorne EMTs transported the victim to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson for treatment. Details regarding the severity of the victim’s injuries have not been publicly disclosed.

Law Enforcement Response and Investigation
Multiple officers from the Hawthorne Police Department and neighboring Prospect Park Police Department responded to the Westervelt Avenue address. Law enforcement personnel were observed entering the residence while officers established crowd control on the street to secure the area.
