WALDWICK, N.J. — A two-vehicle collision sent one driver to the hospital and resulted in a traffic summons on Saturday morning, September 5, 2026.

The incident occurred at the busy intersection of Nordham Street and Waldwick Avenue in Waldwick. According to the Waldwick Police Department, a Subaru SUV allegedly disregarded a stop sign and struck a Honda SUV. The force of the impact caused the Honda to flip onto its roof in the roadway.

Emergency responders quickly arrived on the scene, including the Waldwick Police Department, Waldwick Fire Department, Waldwick EMS, and a paramedic team from The Valley Hospital.
The driver of the overturned Honda SUV sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to The Valley Hospital by a Waldwick EMS ambulance for treatment. No other injuries were reported from either vehicle.
A local tow truck service was called to right the overturned Honda and clear the wreckage from the intersection.
Following an initial investigation at the scene, Waldwick Police issued one crash-related summons to the driver of the Subaru SUV for failure to observe the stop sign.
