North Arlington NJ, A joint investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the North Arlington Police Department has led to the arrest of a 63-year-old Kearny man on sexual offense charges involving a juvenile.
Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Victor A. Fujimoto Diaz, who was taken into custody on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, in North Arlington, NJ.
Details of the Investigation
The case began on Monday, August 31, 2026, when the New Jersey Division of Child Protection & Permanency contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding allegations of past illicit sexual contact in North Arlington.
Following a coordinated inquiry under the direction of Prosecutor’s Office Chief Jeff Angermeyer and North Arlington Police Chief Michael Horton, authorities determined that Fujimoto Diaz engaged in illegal sexual activity with a juvenile during August 2026.

Victor A. Fujimoto Diaz has been officially charged with:

Third-degree endangering the welfare of a child (N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(1))

Following his arrest, Fujimoto Diaz was remanded to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, NJ, where he awaits his first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court.
Prosecutor Musella emphasized that these charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law. He also commended the North Arlington Police Department for their assistance throughout the case.
