RIDGEWOOD, NJ — Ahead of the upcoming Ridgewood Board of Education meeting on Monday, September 14, 2026, at 7:00 PM, school officials have released an essential progress update regarding the town’s athletic fields.

Because local sports teams, students, and community organizations rely heavily on these facilities, school leadership shared critical details on the cleanup, safety protocols, and timeline for both Stadium Field and Stevens Field.

Stadium Field Cleanup on Track for Target Reopening

The cleanup and restoration at Stadium Field remain strictly on schedule. The project is entering its next critical phase: installing new infill material.

To ensure safety and quality, contractors are using specialized equipment equipped with a water tank system. This technology mists the field as the new rubber infill is applied, significantly minimizing airborne particles and ensuring an even, high-quality layer.

• Safety Closure: Stadium Field and all surrounding work areas remain strictly closed to students, staff, and the public until work is fully completed.
