Business expansions bring new optimism to Ridgewood

They’re moving on up.
Gypsy Warrior, formerly a small boutique on North Hudson Street, moved last Friday into its new, larger location on East Ridgewood Avenue, in the former Ecco Shoes space next to Hillmann Lighting.
According to shop owners Michel Bezoza and Nicla DiCosmo, the move out of their smaller location, which they opened about a year ago, was about accommodating their customers, some of whom have come from as far as Europe to see their online inventory in person.
“With the boom of the store, we wanted to continue to accommodate our customers in this much larger space,” said Bezoza, who, like her business partner, is “a Bergen-raised Rutgers University graduate who used to shop “at some of Ridgewood’s bygone boutiques.
