BEEF STEAK DINNER at Park Steakhouse
Thursday, February 27th
This richly historic New York event – akin to the New EnglandClambake or Texas Barbecue began around the middle of the last century. It was a time to celebrate eating…not polite eating, but abundant, glorious, gluttonous eating!
We start with buffalo mozzarella, caesar salad, crabmeat & shrimp cocktail and then for the main course we serve massive amounts of certified aged sirloin of beef with all the “fixings”
All served Family style
7:00 pm
$75.00 inclusive of tax plus gratuity

Seems a bit pricey. I can do better than that at Mark Josephs or similar in the city.
I’m still tempted though. I would have to take the day off to hit the weights before, and then the next day off to recuperate, because there would be copious amounts of Scotch involved.
$75.00 seems reasonable as compared to NYC by the time you include tolls and parking.
Tolls and parking? I’m already here on a monthly ticket, as is pretty much anyone with whom I’d want to have a steak dinner (my wife doesn’t like beef that much so it’s a waste of money on her). Maybe if it’s cold I’d need to shell out for a subway.
The Park is hands-down the best steakhouse in Northern NJ. Co-owner Randy Carson is a Ridgewood guy too!
Better than Palm?
One of these days I’ll get there. I heard Blend is doing something along these lines. Another Montclair expansion (a la Raymonds) from what I understand.
I have been to both the River Palm in Edgewater and Fairlawn and Park steakhouse, i give a slight edge to Edgewater.
I’ve been to both Palms too, so if Park is in between, it’s good enough.
Best steak I know in the area is Mark Josephs, off Peck Slip just south of the Brooklyn Bridge. But it’s gone downhill and I haven’t been there post-sandy. Dylan Prime is good too.
Delfrescos in Philly is good too. Never been to the one in NY.
