The Ridgewood blog Suports Bernadette Coghlan-Walsh as a Candidate for the Republican Nomination for Bergen County Freeholder

PJ Blogger and the Staff of the Ridgewood blog
At this time the Ridgewood Blog wholeheartedly endorses Bernadette Coghlan-Walsh as a Candidate for the Republican Nomination for Bergen County Freeholder.
Bernie is uniquely qualified as a native of Bergen County and a sitting Councilwoman in the Village of Ridgewood to represent Bergen County as a Freeholder.
Bernie has extensive knowledge of the County and County operations and as a Council Person Bernie has balanced budgets, participated in Union Contract negotiations and is currently Chair our Safety Commission.
Bernie has proven herself to be an honest, reliable and a no holds barred advocate of Republican values.
Bernie has worked tirelessly on Republican campaigns over the years to ensure these values and views are heard throughout the County, State and beyond.
Bernie is a Corporate Relocation Consultant and Real Estate Appraiser and works throughout the County and State.
Bernie’s corporate experience comes in business of keeping people employed and making sure Bergen County is affordable and attainable at every level.
Because of this experience Bernie has tools to work within the County Government and to develop plans to lower taxes, strengthen property values and make Bergen County the pride of New Jersey.
Bernie and her husband Michael have been married for 21 years and they have resided in Ridgewood for the past 17 years.
Bernie is the mother of three energetic, thoughtful and caring children ages 16, 14, and 10 and is raising them to be productive, respectful and fun kids.
Amen to that. Bernie is the best. She has my vote, for certain.
Good Luck Bernie. I’m expecting Dom to make one of his nasty comments but remember Dom “Only the good die young” so you should live to 120.
She was very helpful with a traffic issue that we have in the neighborhood and her input and suggestions are being implemented. I wish all elected officials would make the effort that she did so I’ll vote for her in the race for higher office.
I am sad that she is leaving the council. Glad to see that she is moving on in politics and not dropping out.
Few will realize Bernie’s huge sacrifice, service and contribution to Ridgewood UNTIL she has moved off the Village Council. She has always been available to help citizens in need and is a shining example of service to the community.
All sober citizens should wish her well in her bid for Bergen County Freeholder; without unique people like Bernie, unchecked power shifts quickly to the invisible hand of self-interest and we all suffer. It’s our future we’re wagering – let’s support a local candidate with no agenda (political or personal) beyond administrative excellence for our County.
God speed Bernadette!
Bernadette you have my vote on March 20,2014
Here’s hoping she can hold the line and even cut property tax increases in the county portion of our bill. The municipal portion of our bill rose +5.13% in 2010, +7.09% in 2011, +3.57% in 2012, and was flat in 2013. Best wishes !
How about our services #7
UR#1!
Interesting Post!
I am surprised she is a republican. Seems like a rare breed in our overwhelmingly left nut town. I am not impressed with her VC record, she seems very neutral to me. I have no doubt she is a great person and a great mother.
However, best of luck and I wish her success!
this is very old news from 2 elections ago in 2014
