These election results send a clear message to special interest groups like Valley, the developers and sad to say now, the sports lobby. What a disaster for youth sports in this town to have been dragged down by a handful of agenda driven zealots who somehow felt that the only way to get a new field was to get one of their own on the Council. And then there’s our opportunistic Mayor who thought that he could parlay that zeal into getting another inexperienced one issue candidate to vote with him.

Great work by the CRR and CBR to shine a light on the issues and get the vote out. I hope they continue to work together to shut down the current Master Plan Amendment processes. Now it’s time to get the 2007 Ordinance off the books before the next wave of special interests come along to amend the Master Plan for their own gain.

Good luck to Mrs. Knudson and Mr. Sedon.

  1. Well put.
We do not want to become Montclair.

  2. The Preserve Graydon Coalition brought RBSA’s financial situation into the open and worked hard on this campaign also.

Thanks to the blog for making this public forum available.

GOODBYE TO THE THREE AMIGOS. Work will be done for the next two years to get them OUT. Mayor, your political life is DONE. Go back to Fort Lee, where they have even more traffic problems than we do.

  3. Amen! Well said by everyone!

  4. I wish it was true but our mayor has 9 lives. He will come up with something spectacular just before his election and resident will forget what he has brought to Ridgewood. He may bring out his old standby Gabbert’s raise.

  5. The shame of it is that Jim Albano is a real good guy. Somehow he was talked into being the candidate to represent the sports folks.

The truth is that people are tired of being fed lots of hooey from Fast Eddie and Softball Gary.

Why are these sluggards still hanging around when their kids have cycled out of the system ?

Do they like the power ?

Are they earning extra shekls ??

    They won’t go away.

But yesterday they heard a strong and united message from the rest of the town……it said “Go away…stop the bullshit !”

Good luck to Sedon and Knudsen. Don’t let us down.

  6. I hope he does, because that will show he has no new tricks.

Vast numbers of people regret voting for him and those who didn’t are glad.

There will be a lot of determined people working hard to defeat him this time. Wait and see.
