What You Should Know About the National Do Not Call Registry
The National Do Not Call Registry gives you a choice about whether to receive telemarketing calls at home. Most telemarketers should not call your number once it has been on the registry for 31 days. If they do, you can file a complaint at the below website. You can register your home or mobile phone for free.
Scammers have been making phone calls claiming to represent the National Do Not Call Registry. The calls claim to provide an opportunity to sign up for the Registry. These calls are not coming from the Registry or the Federal Trade Commission, and you should not respond to these calls.
To register your phone number or a complaint click on the link below.
Just hang up quickly and don’t listen to the message. Let their phone providers make the money. It like unsolicited mail in your mail box.
PS: Comment #2 avoid getting on “another” list.
I have been in the registry for years. I still get calls. The robo calls and telemarketers drive me crazy. I have filed complaints on the Do Not Call website. Nothing helps.
Most of these robo calls are from overseas and they use all kinds of technology to bypass blocking techniques. The Donotcall stuff and threats of legal action is useless.
Three robo calls this week. They all start by telling me that this is my last chance. I wish that they would abide by that.
I used to get at least 10 telemarketing calls a week, even when my phone number’s on the DNC. I’m afraid it’s not working too well. The calls only stopped after I got this call blocker app by Callercenter.com. It allows me to add as many phone numbers as I want to my block list, and helps filter all my incoming calls.
I block calls through Optimum. I hate that I have to add the numbers manually but Do Not Call does not stop yhem.
