I have the fondest memories of coach Lorenz. (Niles North HS – 1979) A great man. a great educator. RIP. Condolences to the family.
He was a caring advocate for young people and really tried to address their needs as a principal. Condolences to his family.
So sorry to hear this. R.I.P. Jack! Condolences to his family!
He was outspoken in his advocacy for the students and school. My condolences to his family.
Jack was an exemplary leader, a wonderful leader, and a man who earned, deserved, and won the respect of those who knew him well. Those of us whose children were fortunate enough to be at RHS while Jack was at the helm benefited greatly from his wisdom.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and loved ones.
Rest in peace, Jack.
Coach Lorenz was my high school baseball coach at Niles North in Skokie, illinois. I was class of 1979. he was loved by every student at niles north and he was a role model for everyone. I don’t think I ever saw a high school teacher who was liked more then Mr Lorenz. He visited my office one day in the late 90’s. It was total surprise and I was lucky enough to sit down with him for awhile and let him know how much he meant to me as a coach, friend and role model. I will never forget that day or this truly amazing man. My condolences to his family and rest in peace coach .
Mr. Lorenz was my Freshman year Homeroom teacher (1974) and Dean from 1975-1978. He was a mentor and a great role model. He was loved by all who came in contact with him. He will be sorely missed. Rest in Paradise. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this most difficult time.
Mr. Lorenz was my home room advisor at Niles North High School in 1969. He made the mundane seem fun and he always had time for us. He had a way of making us all feel important. I have many fond memories of Mr. Lorenz. He was our teacher, mentor, and friend. I send my deepest condolences to his family.
Jack was first class, the salt of the earth. As principal he brought so much to RHS. He was respected across the board by faculty, students and parents. We as a family are most fortunate to have known him.Our deepest condolences to his family.

Coach Lorenz was probably the most influential teacher/mentor I ever had. He was willing to start and sponsor technical drawing and pre-engineering classes at Niles North where I graduated in 1975. That was the basis, beginning, and direction of my entire professional career. He was an outstanding coach and someone that I will never forget. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
