NYT calls for moderator ‘fact check’ after Lauer sins by allowing candidates to speak

The biggest news to come out of Wednesday night’s candidate forum was not anything said by either Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton or Republican nominee Donald Trump.
No, the biggest story of the night was how NBC host Matt Lauer allegedly failed at his job as a journalist. Lauer, who has been a journalist since 1979, who has co-hosted The Today Show since 1997, who was live during the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center, and who has won numerous Emmy awards for his coverage.
Suddenly, Lauer is garbage, no better—in the eyes of the mainstream media—than some basement-dwelling right-wing blogger.

The bar was set so low.
Lauer was out of his element. He should have had them do a cook-off.
This person can never be considered as a serious journalist.
Can’t wait for the debates.
Candidates cannot talk over each other. After one candidate answers a question the other candidate can offer a rebuttal. Trump will be called out for all his lies and lack of vision. Game over.
Trump doesn’t follow the standard debate platform. Which is a good thing. Hopefully he will expose that criminal for what she really is. Crooked hillary is a politician, trump is not. Game over.
How will not following debate rules help him? He will look like a foolish child.
He needs facts snd a coherent plan for America. When he lies he will be called on it. He has a shallow understanding of economic issues and foreign policy. President of the United States is not an entry level position.
what job did Obama have before he was President?
Community Organizer (bringing jobs back to Chicago), State Senator, US Senator and now two term president. He is not running against the newbie.
You don’the get it 1105. A growing majority of Americans are tired of career politicians and want change. Hillary is the same old song that isn’t working and is actually even more corrupt. I’ll take my chances on something new. Even if she does win, her agenda is dead on arrival since she won’t be a clear winner. We are becoming increasingly divided with more and more people having had enough of what’s been going on in DC.

Blame the event for being “too easy”
Question:
If it was so easy and the moderator was so incompetent, then why didn’t (the smarter, better, clearly superior) Hillary best Trump?

Part of Lauer’s incompetance was that he treated the candidates differently. He allowed trump to say anything, even strings of words that made no point. Like many tv hosts, no one knows how to make trump answer a question in coherent, factual sentences.
He was much harder on Secretary Clinton.
Lauer is in the bag for Hillary.
He WAS NOT hard on her and you know it. She was just not prepared and was unable to handle the basic questions that she was asked.
You are just annoyed that Trump was able to handle him better than Hillary was.
