New Jersey’s new Uniform Crime Report found crime in the Garden State is on the decline. The latest official numbers, which cover 2015, show a 5 percent drop in overall crime and a one percent drop in violent crime.

Preliminary data for last year shows a similar downward trend.

  1. James – you should post about the ruckus last night in village of South Orange by 300 ‘youth’

The future of the village of Ridgewood once the urbanists have had their way with downtown.

  2. So why do we need so many (+45) officers in Ridgewood? Hire auxiliary police to do more of the work and reduce full-time officers to 25-30.

  3. read the actual report.
91.7% of violent crime occurred in the cities.
That should be the headline…….but we know why it’s not.
