At dinner tables, in classrooms and in counseling offices, adults are grappling with how to help young people work through their anxieties and emotions in the aftermath of the divisive presidential election.

In colleges, students lined up for counseling sessions and sought out peers for support at meetings and at rallies.

  1. Well just explain it to George Soros’s legion that most of us were pretty horrified when a predator Governor from a backwards state (Arkansas) won the office in 1992 and then again in 1996.

  2. This is all hysterical. I heard a couple of people at work next morning of the election discussing how hard they found to have to explain their kids regarding what happened. Why would a 5 yr old give a shit about who won elections? These parents are nuts. Their insane desire to have Clinton win is affecting their family life. Is it really worth it? Let kids be kids. Just tell them their doll Clinton can win next year but this time she wasn’t lucky. Calm down. Grab a Xanax or do yoga.

  3. Get over it people, i did not vote for Trump, but i do not sit around and sulk or protest in the streets. There is nothing to explain, one person lost one won . Stop whining.

  4. SUCK IT UP

  5. Spanking isn’t likely to help children feel better.

  6. I endured the last 8 years, so just suck it up, go to work, and deal with it…………

  7. 6.43: The picture isn’t the article writer’s proposed solution. It’s meant as a old fashioned depiction on dealing with an unruly brat. On the other hand, the demonstrating brats need to grow up and could possibly do with some hard physical restraint.

  8. Well, the dems go LOW with mass protesting; and Trump went HIGH saying he understands people are passionate about the election.

I voted for Hillary; first voting for Sanders. I watched the Trump interview on 60 minutes and was very impressed with him. I think he is going to be a great president, and remember pro choice people and I am one of them, if another Republican had won; Roe vs Wade would be abolished, via a supreme court nominee, Trump wants to leave it up to the individual states. When demonizing Trump please compare him to what Ted Cruz , John Kasich, etc would do. I believe he will get health care solved; and so on. The dems solution for Obama care is to raise the penalty for people who didn’t buy into the program. Damn, that is terrible. If people didn’t buy in it’s because they are young and healthy and financially stressed, you stupid dems. Anyway, let’s give peace a chance; remember that song; let’s give our new president -elect a chance. He isn’t even in office yet; so what the f..k with the criticism.
