  1. Talking or texting ?

  2. Once again, we see a one-car accident on a quiet 25mph suburban road in the middle of the day in good weather. Unless the driver had some kind of sudden medical moment, this can only have been caused by a period of inattention.

  3. Well, as of now they can’t check the phone for recent texts without a warrant.

This is 10 times the problem DUI is.

  4. Guess we need to lower the speed limit again…
    15mph this time?
    how about 10mph?

That will solve the problem… and also has the added bonus of saving the environment and punishing those evil people driving those evil automobiles.

As an added bonus it will tie-in nicely to the traffic calming green initiative to add a bike lane and reduce traffic to one lane at Garber square.

  5. Now imagine the result of a “simple” auto accident at that precise corner if we were in the throes of Valley’s requested expansion.
